The Role of Heritage & Building Diagnostics Specialist

SOCOTEC is seeking an experienced Heritage & Building Diagnostics Specialist to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves supporting ongoing technical and development activities within the region. The specialist will be responsible for assessing existing buildings and assets, identifying technical conditions and defects, and providing professional recommendations to meet project requirements. The position includes technical assessments, reporting, and coordination with multidisciplinary project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections and technical assessments of existing buildings and assets.
• Identify, assess, and document defects, deterioration, and technical conditions.
• Prepare technical reports, inspection records, and assessment documentation.
• Review drawings, technical documents, and available project information.
• Provide technical recommendations related to repair, rehabilitation, maintenance, and improvement works.
• Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Support technical surveys, investigations, and diagnostic activities.
• Review and monitor technical works and provide feedback as required.
• Ensure activities comply with applicable standards, regulations, and project requirements.
• Support the preparation of technical scopes, proposals, and project documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, findings, and recommendations.
• Perform other technical duties related to the project as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience as a Building Diagnostics Specialist.
• 5-10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Ability to conduct thorough site inspections and technical assessments.
• Proficiency in preparing detailed technical reports and documentation.
• Strong coordination skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

Reporting Structure

This position reports directly to the Operations Director.
