Overview of the Role

James Webber Recruitment is supporting an international hotel group in the appointment of a Hotel General Manager for a new-build hotel development in Qiddiya, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves leading the property from its pre-opening phase through to its launch in 2027.

Role Context and Objectives

The appointed General Manager will join during the pre-opening phase, taking responsibility for establishing the hotel's operations from the ground up. This includes building the leadership team, defining the hotel's culture, and preparing the property for a successful opening. The hotel is situated within a prominent leisure and entertainment destination in the Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the hotel through its complete pre-opening journey.
• Recruit, develop, and inspire a high-performing team.
• Create the operational culture, service standards, and guest experience.
• Build strong relationships with ownership and key stakeholders.
• Drive the commercial strategy and overall business performance.
• Ensure the hotel is fully operational and ready for a successful opening.

Candidate Profile

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience as a General Manager, ideally with a background in leading pre-opening phases for international hotel groups. The role requires a leader capable of establishing a new property, developing a strong team, and setting high operational standards.

Compensation and Location

This full-time position offers a net monthly salary of SAR 40,000–45,000, inclusive of expatriate benefits. The role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, specifically within the Qiddiya development, a significant leisure and entertainment destination.
