Housekeeper Public Area

About the Role

Courtyard by Marriott is seeking a Housekeeper Public Area to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position is part of the Marriott International brand portfolio and focuses on maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of public and employee areas within the hotel. The role is suitable for individuals with 0-1 years of experience who are committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience and are eager to learn and improve.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean public and employee restrooms and showers.
• Clean windows in public and employee areas.
• Clean floors in public and employee areas using specified products, supplies, and equipment.
• Dust surfaces in designated areas.
• Empty trash cans and ashtrays from public areas into appropriate containers.
• Inspect furniture for tears, snags, or stains, and report any damage.
• Clean and maintain light fixtures.
• Set up warning signs to limit passage when necessary.
• Contact other departments directly for urgent repairs.
• Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments.
• Identify and report maintenance issues or preventive maintenance needs in public areas or guest rooms.

Operational Duties and Standards

• Follow all chain safety policies and procedures, reporting maintenance issues, accident hazards, accidents, or injuries, and completing required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure uniform and appearance are clean and professional.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Support all colleagues and treat them with dignity and respect.
• Support the team in achieving common goals.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
• Perform all other tasks requested by supervisors that are consistent with the position.

Physical Requirements

• Move at the required speed to respond to work situations (*, running, walking, jogging).
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machinery (*, to identify defects).
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of various sizes and weights requiring motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Reach objects overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Move in narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Move on sloped, uneven, or slippery surfaces and stairs.
• Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and service ramps.
• Move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 55 pounds (25 kg) without assistance, and over 55 pounds (25 kg) with assistance.
• Push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work equipment on sloped and uneven surfaces.
• Stand, kneel, sit, or walk for prolonged periods or at a high frequency for a full shift.
