About the Opportunity

Women First Jobs is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Manager for a full-time position at a 5-star luxury property in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience in a high-end hospitality environment and is crucial for maintaining the property's reputation for excellence.

Role Overview

The Housekeeping Manager will lead the housekeeping function, ensuring exceptional standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation across all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house operations. This position is responsible for driving team performance, implementing quality control measures, and enhancing the overall guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily housekeeping operations for guest rooms, suites, public areas, back-of-house, and staff accommodation.
• Ensure consistent maintenance and exceeding of 5-star cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Coordinate daily room status updates with the Front Office to facilitate smooth check-ins/outs and VIP readiness.
• Lead planning for high occupancy periods, events, and peak seasons.
• Manage, coach, and motivate the housekeeping team, including supervisors, attendants, and linen runners.
• Set daily priorities, conduct briefings, allocate staffing, and ensure productivity targets are met.
• Monitor performance through KPIs and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, training, and ongoing skills development for the team.
• Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public areas using luxury service checklists.
• Manage guest feedback and complaints related to housekeeping with professionalism and resolution.
• Ensure VIP and special-request rooms are prepared to the highest standard with attention to detail.
• Maintain full compliance with health, hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards, adhering to luxury hospitality norms and local regulations.
• Ensure safe handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Implement and monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for hygiene, deep cleaning, pest control coordination, and infection prevention.
• Manage housekeeping inventory, linen operations, and amenities to ensure availability and cost efficiency.
• Control par stock, track usage, minimize wastage, and coordinate procurement with relevant departments.
• Collaborate with Laundry (internal/outsourced) to maintain linen quality, turnaround times, and replacement planning.
• Work closely with Engineering/Maintenance on room defects, preventive maintenance, and out-of-order room follow-up.
• Coordinate with Security and other departments for lost & found processes and guest/property safety.
• Partner with Food & Beverage and Events teams for set-ups, special functions, and VIP arrangements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience as a Housekeeping Manager or Assistant Housekeeping Manager in a 5-star hotel or luxury resort.
• Strong leadership, team management, and quality inspection expertise.
• Solid understanding of luxury housekeeping standards, SOPs, and guest service excellence.
• Strong knowledge of hygiene, Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) compliance, and chemical safety.
• Experience in large facilities or luxury hospitality is highly preferred.

Skills and Attributes

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage high-volume operations.
• Strong communication skills in English are essential; Arabic is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
• A keen eye for detail and commitment to luxury service standards.
