About the Role

The National Medical Care Company (Care) is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves overseeing all housekeeping staff during assigned shifts, ensuring the cleanliness of the entire Riyadh Care and Housing premises. The supervisor will ensure adherence to approved policies and procedures established based on international standards, contributing to a safe and hygienic environment for patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that cleaning and decontamination processes are consistently maintained in accordance with approved procedures and international standards.
  • Conduct continuous inspections of all assigned areas to verify that no section is overlooked during cleaning operations.
  • Coordinate with the housekeeping storekeeper to ensure a continuous and adequate supply of necessary cleaning chemicals and materials.
  • Inspect all housekeeping electrical equipment and liaise with the maintenance department to address any defective units, ensuring the safety of all housekeepers.
  • Perform periodic quality improvement checks across all areas of responsibility.
  • Report any incidents occurring during the shift to the Manager of General Services.
  • Perform other applicable tasks and duties as assigned by superiors, within the scope of knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Staff Supervision and Training

This role involves direct supervision and development of housekeeping personnel to maintain high standards of service and safety.

  • Provide in-service training to all newly hired housekeeping staff on proper cleaning procedures and techniques.
  • Assist in developing the monthly schedule and arranging shifting procedures to ensure continuous coverage and no unattended areas.
  • Contribute to continuing education through monthly in-service sessions for all housekeeping staff, updating them on technological changes and advanced cleaning procedures based on international standards.
  • Assist in educating housekeeping staff on necessary precautions to be taken while performing their duties.

Operational Implementation

The supervisor will support the implementation of specific operational guidelines for various cleaning tasks.

  • Assist in implementing established durations for non-routine housekeeping tasks, including scrubbing, stripping, polishing, wall washing, window pavement cleaning, and carpet shampooing.
  • Indirectly contribute to a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion, and understanding for patients by ensuring a clean and hygienic environment at NMC Hospitals and Clinics.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for the Housekeeping Supervisor position should meet the following criteria:

  • Education: College Graduate in any course.
  • Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience, specifically managing not less than fifty (50) personnel.
  • Industry Experience: Demonstrated experience in hospital housekeeping is required.
  • Desirable: A Certificate of Training from any hospital institution for a related job.
