About the Role: HVAC Operator - Industrial Refrigeration

The HVAC Operator - Industrial Refrigeration is responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems. This full-time position is based in Al Dar Al Baida District, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires hands-on technical expertise to ensure reliable system operation and high customer satisfaction. The operator will execute service activities independently on-site while coordinating with supervisors and service teams to meet contractual service level agreements (SLAs) and operational targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various systems, including Air-Cooled Chillers, Centrifugal Chillers, VRV & DX systems, Industrial Refrigeration (Ammonia Plant), and Commercial Refrigeration.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and control faults, and implement corrective actions efficiently.
• Support commissioning, operation, and maintenance activities to ensure systems operate according to OEM standards.
• Identify root causes of system issues to minimize repeat breakdowns and optimize system performance through proper servicing, parameter checks, and minor adjustments.
• Escalate complex or recurring technical issues to supervisors as needed.
• Act as the on-site technical representative, maintaining professional communication with customers and explaining service activities, findings, and recommendations clearly.
• Complete service reports, checklists, and job documentation accurately and on time, recording system data, faults, and actions taken.
• Coordinate with supervisors, planners, and spare parts teams for smooth execution of tasks.
• Adhere to all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and permit systems, ensuring safe handling of tools, equipment, and refrigerants.
• Stay updated on product knowledge, service practices, and new HVAC technologies, participating in trainings and applying learning in field activities.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Technical Diploma (ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or equivalent).
• Minimum of 2-5 years of hands-on experience in HVAC service, with a focus on installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, specifically in Industrial Refrigeration.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical and refrigeration systems.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC controls and schematic reading.
• Ability to work independently at customer sites.
• Good communication and customer-handling skills.
• Familiarity with service reporting tools (manual or digital).
• Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring on-site service execution at customer locations. The role involves close coordination with supervisors and service teams.
