HVAC Technician

About the Role

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is seeking an HVAC Technician to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks, with a focus on guest repair requests and preventive maintenance, ensuring the operational efficiency of hotel facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to and address guest repair requests, communicating effectively to resolve maintenance issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machines for operational integrity.
• Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings.
• Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.
• Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, and light bulb and A/C filter replacement.
• Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on various equipment, plumbing (*, unclogging drains), and electrical components.
• Program TVs and manage general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.
• Utilize the Lockout/Tagout system before conducting any maintenance work.
• Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping, including external landscaping sprinklers.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
• Familiarity with pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry, and finish skills.
• Understanding of kitchen equipment, vehicles, and energy conservation principles.
• Basic computer skills, including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds independently, and heavier items with assistance.
• Proficiency in moving up and down stairs, service ramps, and ladders, and performing tasks requiring reaching overhead and below the knees.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 0-1 year of relevant experience. The role requires adherence to all company and safety and security policies and procedures, including reporting maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, and completing safety training and certifications.
