About the Role

AECOM is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inspector – Fire, Life, Safety to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves conducting comprehensive inspections of buildings and facilities to ensure compliance with fire safety codes, life safety regulations, and organizational standards. The Inspector will play a critical role in protecting lives and property by identifying potential hazards and recommending corrective actions.

Role Context and Purpose

The primary purpose of this position is to maintain the highest safety standards across various properties. The Inspector will be responsible for documenting findings and ensuring timely remediation of safety issues, collaborating with stakeholders, and staying current with regulatory requirements to uphold fire and life safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough and systematic inspections of commercial, industrial, and residential properties to verify compliance with fire safety codes and life safety regulations.
  • Evaluate fire suppression systems, emergency exits, alarm systems, and other life safety equipment for proper installation and functionality.
  • Analyze building layouts, occupancy classifications, and structural elements to assess fire and life safety risks.
  • Document inspection findings in detailed reports, including photographs, measurements, and observations.
  • Identify code violations and safety hazards, and communicate findings clearly to facility managers and property owners.
  • Recommend corrective actions and improvements to address identified deficiencies.
  • Maintain organized records of all inspections, permits, and compliance documentation.
  • Collaborate with building owners, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely remediation of safety issues.
  • Stay current with changes to fire codes, life safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare comprehensive inspection reports and present findings to management and relevant authorities.
  • Respond to complaints and concerns regarding fire and life safety matters.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations on best practices for fire prevention and life safety management.

Experience Required

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in fire, life, and safety inspections to effectively manage the responsibilities of this role.
