About the Role

Bechtel Corporation is seeking an Interface Manager (EXPO) to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves managing technical, systems, operational, and delivery interfaces for a major global event. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, documenting, coordinating, tracking, and resolving interfaces among various stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, operators, designers, and authorities. This position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Project Context: Expo 2030 Riyadh

The Expo 2030 Riyadh is a significant global platform themed "Foresight for Tomorrow," promoting sustainable development and innovation. Scheduled from October 2030 to March 2031, the event anticipates over 40 million visits. Bechtel, in collaboration with Expo 2030 Riyadh Company (ERC), will manage the infrastructure program for the 6 km2 Masterplan. This includes early works, utilities, and publicly accessible spaces, with the site transitioning into a mixed-use legacy development post-event. The project adheres to international sustainability standards for urban afforestation, treated water, and energy.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Interface Manager, the Interface Manager will undertake the following:

• Manage assigned interfaces across mobility systems, transportation packages, infrastructure works, operational requirements, and construction activities.
• Identify, document, and maintain interface requirements between disciplines, projects, contractors, consultants, operators, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate interface activities between design teams, construction teams, operational stakeholders, and external parties.
• Support the preparation, maintenance, and closure of Interface Registers, Interface Control Documents, and Responsibility Matrices.
• Track interface actions, dependencies, assumptions, constraints, and unresolved issues.
• Facilitate interface coordination meetings and support issue resolution activities.
• Manage interfaces associated with mobility systems, including transport technologies, fleet operations, depots, traffic management systems, operational facilities, communications systems, and supporting infrastructure.
• Support integration activities between systems, infrastructure, operations, and construction work packages.
• Review design submissions, construction proposals, and technical deliverables from an interface management perspective.
• Support operational readiness activities by ensuring operator requirements and operational interfaces are fully considered during project development.
• Identify interface risks and support mitigation planning.
• Escalate unresolved interface issues to the Senior Interface Manager.
• Prepare interface status reports, interface dashboards, and management updates.
• Support testing, commissioning, transition, and handover activities.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess:

• A bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• Relevant project delivery and interface management experience, typically 5-10 years.

Required Skills and Knowledge

Essential skills and knowledge include:

• Experience working on transportation, infrastructure, mobility, or major program delivery environments.
• Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and stakeholder interfaces.
• A strong understanding of systems integration, operational requirements, engineering coordination, and project delivery processes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
