About the Role

alfanar is seeking an International Tax Section Manager to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves taking full responsibility for the overall management of Overseas Tax operations. The manager will plan, develop, execute, and monitor tax activities and related systems, ensuring optimal resource utilization and cost efficiency while delivering results according to company quality standards and managing departmental risks and opportunities.

Key Tax Responsibilities

• Oversee the accurate preparation and filing of tax returns for subsidiaries, managing tax filings, timely payments, and reporting across various jurisdictions.
• Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies to optimize the group’s tax position, including transfer pricing, tax credits, and incentives.
• Implement and oversee transfer pricing documentation and compliance, collaborating with external advisors on intercompany pricing strategies.
• Manage tax risks, identify potential issues, and implement mitigation strategies, providing support for internal and external audits and tax inspections.
• Ensure compliance with cross-border taxation issues, double taxation treaties, and withholding tax obligations in multi-jurisdictional environments.

Managerial Accountabilities

• Recruit, develop, and manage high-performing team members, ensuring fair treatment and performance-based assessment.
• Take full responsibility for departmental operations and deliverables, proactively anticipating and addressing problems.
• Ensure timely delivery of required results, meeting specified quality and cost efficiency standards.
• Translate corporate goals into actionable business plans, monitor performance, and initiate corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain the organizational structure, job descriptions, and improve business processes through automation.
• Monitor and control budgets and expenses to achieve optimum cost efficiency.
• Uphold alfanar’s quality standards and ensure a safe, secure, and legal work environment.

Required Skills and Expertise

• Comprehensive knowledge of domestic and international tax laws, including corporate tax, VAT, and withholding tax.
• Proven ability to interpret and apply tax laws to diverse business scenarios and ensure compliance across jurisdictions.
• Familiarity with tax compliance software, automation tools, and ERP systems for efficient tax reporting and filing.
• Strong analytical skills to review tax data, identify discrepancies, and ensure accurate reporting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective interaction with internal stakeholders and external advisors.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in international tax management. The role requires a professional who can adapt to new techniques, technologies, management structures, and business models.
