About the Role

Egis is seeking an experienced Irrigation Engineer to join its Project Management Office (PMO) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves overseeing the planning, design, and implementation of irrigation systems for urban development projects. The successful candidate will serve as a technical lead, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to high-quality standards, while supporting the city's sustainable water management objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate irrigation engineering projects from conception through completion, ensuring alignment with urban planning objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and review technical specifications, design drawings, and engineering documentation for irrigation systems using industry-standard software and tools.
• Analyze water resource requirements and design efficient irrigation solutions that optimize water usage and support sustainability goals.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including urban planners, contractors, environmental specialists, and government stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation; identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for irrigation infrastructure in urban environments.
• Prepare comprehensive project reports, progress updates, and performance metrics for senior management and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, environmental standards, and best practices in irrigation engineering.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on project-related challenges.
• Participate in project governance meetings and contribute to continuous process improvement within the PMO.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in irrigation engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in the planning, design, and implementation of irrigation systems, particularly for urban development projects.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools for irrigation system design and analysis.
• Strong understanding of water resource management and sustainable irrigation practices.

Work Environment

This role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within Egis' Project Management Office. It is a full-time position requiring collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders on urban development projects.
