IT & Diagnostics Systems Project Manager

About the Role

Fisheye - Executive Search is recruiting for an IT & Diagnostics Systems Project Manager on behalf of a leading healthcare company in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on managing the implementation of various healthcare IT systems and supporting diagnostic system integrations. The position requires 5-10 years of experience in a related field.

Role Context and Focus

This role is situated within the healthcare IT function and involves leading digital transformation projects. The primary focus is on the full-lifecycle implementation of Hospital Information Systems (HIS), Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) systems, alongside managing integrations for diagnostic systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full-lifecycle implementations of HIS, EMR, ERP, and RCM systems across hospitals, clinics, and multi-site healthcare networks.
• Manage multi-site go-live planning, resourcing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and post-live stabilization.
• Coordinate cross-functional project teams spanning clinical, IT, vendor, and operations stakeholders.
• Own project documentation, including business requirements documents (BRDs), workflow diagrams, risk logs, and status reporting to leadership.
• Drive RCM optimization initiatives, focusing on improving clean-claim rates, reducing A/R days, and training staff on billing/coding compliance.
• Manage scope, risk, and stakeholder expectations across concurrent, large-scale digital transformation projects.
• Manage LIS/HIS system integrations and middleware installations connecting diagnostic analyzers to core hospital/lab systems.
• Handle ASTM and HL7 protocol connectivity between analyzers, middleware, and the main HIS/LIS.
• Monitor HIS and lab network performance, track testing/turnaround metrics, and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Own analyzer management system (AMS) configuration and certification for connected diagnostic equipment.
• Handle customer/site complaints related to system integration, data flow, or connectivity, coordinating resolution with relevant teams.
• Track and analyze system/data issues, producing reports on recurring problems and improvement opportunities.

Experience and Qualifications

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in IT project management, particularly within healthcare IT.
• Demonstrated experience with HIS, EMR, ERP, and RCM system implementations.
• Experience with LIS/HIS system integrations and diagnostic analyzer support.
• Familiarity with ASTM and HL7 protocols.
