IT Manager II Operations Tech Solutions

About the Role

Amazon is seeking an IT Manager II, Operations Tech Solutions to join its Fulfillment & Operations IT team in Riyadh. This full-time position is crucial for maintaining the operational integrity of Amazon's 24/7 Fulfillment Centers. The role involves leading a team dedicated to resolving complex hardware, software, server, and infrastructure issues, ensuring these high-volume production environments run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure IT maintenance and troubleshooting are executed to high standards, adhering to all Amazon policies and guidelines, particularly those related to IT and Health & Safety.
• Lead the coordination of trouble tickets and change management processes, ensuring strict compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Coordinate and oversee team projects, supporting the execution of technical tasks and fostering a culture of IT Ownership, effective reporting, and internal customer satisfaction.
• Develop and manage the IT budget throughout its lifecycle.
• Encourage, support, and facilitate the IT skill development of Fulfillment Center staff.
• Manage team resources, including staff and team scheduling, hours, and shifts.
• Drive continuous improvement for all IT team processes and initiatives, promoting operational excellence within the Fulfillment department.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• Knowledge of Linux or Unix systems administration.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience leading technology teams as an information technology operations manager.
• A minimum of 5 years of overall Information Technology (IT) experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of hardware architectures.
• Experience with system management tools and client/server environments.
• Experience working in an engineering, construction, manufacturing, or warehouse environment.

Work Environment

The role is based within Amazon's Fulfillment Centers, which are dynamic 24/7 production environments characterized by the handling and coordination of large, fast-moving inventory. The IT Manager II will lead a team responsible for the critical IT infrastructure that underpins these operations.
