The Role of Jr. Accountant

Stella Stays is seeking a Jr. Accountant to manage daily financial operations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position for a professional with over 10 years of experience. The role requires familiarity with GAAP and IFRS, with a preference for candidates experienced in the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Record daily sales invoices in Zoho Books.
• Reconcile bank statements and verify OTA payments daily.
• Manage e-commerce settlements and reconcile related clearing accounts.
• Handle accounting transactions in line with GAAP and IFRS, including IFRS 15, IFRS 16, and IAS 16.
• Verify and record monthly expenses, accruals, provisions, and OTA commissions.
• Perform related party reconciliations.
• Oversee accounts receivable and ensure timely collections.
• Lead month-end closings and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Support other tasks as needed to maintain operational flow.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Over 10 years of experience in accounting.
• Strong knowledge of UAE tax regulations and international accounting standards (IFRS 15, IFRS 16, IAS 16).
• Solid understanding of accruals, provisions, accounts receivable, and related party reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Zoho Books or similar accounting systems.
• Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.
• Experience in hospitality and handling OTA payouts is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience with e-commerce platforms and reconciling clearing accounts.
• ACCA, CPA, CMA, or CA certification is a plus.

Work Location

This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
