The Role of Translator in Riyadh

As a Translator based in our Riyadh office, you will be responsible for the accurate translation of business-related presentations, proposals, and various texts. Topics will include market studies, business strategy, company organization, and human resources. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of experience and involves reporting directly to the Translation Team Lead in Riyadh.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate and edit business, commercial, and selected legal documents with clarity and accuracy, escalating specialized legal content for review as appropriate.
  • Produce written translations of various documents from English to Arabic (majority of work) and Arabic to English within tight deadlines.
  • Complete necessary formatting changes, requiring an excellent working knowledge of MS PowerPoint and Word.
  • Proofread and edit final translated documents to ensure grammatically correct and well-expressed final versions.
  • Attend client meetings with the case team when required to discuss translation projects and answer questions.
  • Work at client locations as needed.
  • Utilize Kearney-approved translation memory, terminology-management, machine translation, and AI-enabled tools to enhance consistency and efficiency, while applying professional judgment and full human review to all final deliverables.
  • Validate AI- or machine-generated content for accuracy, completeness, tone, terminology, cultural appropriateness, formatting, and client-specific requirements prior to delivery.
  • Maintain and contribute to approved bilingual glossaries, translation memories, style guides, and reusable terminology resources.
  • Escalate ambiguous source content, specialist terminology, quality risks, or legal/sensitive content to the Translation Team Lead as appropriate.
  • Employ strong research skills and approved reference sources to identify accurate terminology and closest equivalents, considering country, client, and subject-matter specifics.
  • Ensure the security and confidentiality of all translated materials, including the use of approved tools only and no upload of confidential or client material to unapproved public AI platforms.

Experience and Skills

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in translation.

  • Ability to work within tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with translation memory, terminology-management, machine translation, and AI-enabled tools.
