L Middleware / BSS Integration Support Engineer

About the Role

Tangent International is seeking an experienced L2 Middleware / BSS Integration Support Engineer to join a telecom BSS managed services environment in Riyadh. This is a contract position requiring 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Role Purpose

The successful candidate will provide L2 operational support for middleware and integration platforms that connect critical BSS applications. The primary objective is to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of these systems within a large-scale telecom BSS environment where WebMethods serves as the central integration backbone.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2 support for middleware, ESB, API, and messaging platforms.
• Support Software AG WebMethods Integration Server, API Gateway, and BPMN workflows.
• Monitor message queues, topics, throughput, consumer lag, and integration errors.
• Troubleshoot queue backlogs, poison messages, connection issues, and integration failures.
• Investigate integration issues across CRM, Billing, Order Management, Mediation, and Activation systems.
• Manage routing rules, queues/topics, transformations, and API configurations.
• Support clustering, High Availability (HA), and failover mechanisms.
• Perform middleware patching and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot REST and SOAP APIs.
• Coordinate complex incidents with L3 and vendor support teams.
• Maintain middleware documentation, architecture diagrams, and run-books.
• Monitor and report middleware performance KPIs.

Experience and Qualifications

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in middleware and BSS integration support.
• Demonstrated experience with Software AG WebMethods Integration Server, API Gateway, and BPMN workflows.
• Proficiency in monitoring and troubleshooting message queues, APIs, and integration platforms.
• Experience with clustering, HA, and failover mechanisms.
