About the Opportunity

Dar Al Riyadh (دار الرياض) is seeking a Lead Civil Engineer to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position is for an experienced professional with over 10 years of proven expertise in civil engineering, specifically focused on overseeing steel structure building projects.

Role Purpose

The Lead Civil Engineer will be responsible for supervising the entire construction process of steel structure building projects. This involves ensuring strict compliance with design specifications, upholding safety standards, and implementing robust quality control measures throughout all project phases to guarantee successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the overall construction process, ensuring adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and quality control measures.
• Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of steel structure building projects, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
• Apply extensive knowledge of steel structure construction principles, materials, and best practices to guide the construction team and resolve technical challenges.
• Implement and monitor quality assurance protocols to guarantee structural integrity, building safety, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Collaborate closely with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to coordinate efforts and ensure seamless project progress.
• Identify and resolve potential issues or discrepancies in construction plans and implementation, providing innovative solutions to complex engineering problems.
• Maintain accurate records of project milestones, construction activities, and any deviations from original plans, providing regular progress reports to project management.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 10 years of proven experience in civil engineering, with a strong focus on steel structure construction and project supervision.
• In-depth understanding of steel structure design, fabrication, and erection techniques.
• Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines effectively.
