About the Role

Tabby | تابي is seeking a Lead, Financial Reporting to join its finance team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is crucial for supporting finance operations within the Saudi Arabia entity, ensuring accurate financial reporting, adherence to regulatory compliance, and robust financial governance. The Lead will play a key part in strengthening finance processes and contributing to a scalable finance function in a rapidly growing market.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes for the KSA entity, ensuring accuracy, timeliness (D+3 target), and completeness.
  • Prepare IFRS financial statements, incorporating local SOCPA adjustments, along with all necessary supporting schedules and reconciliations.
  • Ensure correct application of IFRS standards (specifically IFRS 9, 15, and 16) and SOCPA standards within financial statements, maintaining thorough documentation of accounting positions.
  • Perform comprehensive balance-sheet reconciliations and uphold the integrity of the general ledger.

Regulatory Compliance and Audit Support

  • Oversee and support ZATCA filings, including Corporate Income Tax (CIT), Zakat, VAT, Withholding Tax (WHT), and Certified Taxable Data File (CTDF), ensuring reconciliation with financial statements.
  • Prepare and support SAMA regulatory and prudential returns, ensuring consistency with financial records.
  • Support provisioning and Expected Credit Loss (ECL) calculations under IFRS 9 for customer and merchant receivables.
  • Provide support for external audits by preparing audit-ready financials with complete documentation and serving as a primary contact for auditors on reporting matters.

Internal Controls and Process Enhancement

  • Maintain and enhance internal controls, reconciliations, and segregation of duties across all reporting processes.
  • Support treasury and settlement reporting, including related reconciliations for bank accounts and merchant settlements.
  • Assist with intercompany and transfer-pricing reporting in coordination with the Group Tax team.
  • Drive continuous process improvements and support ERP (Oracle NetSuite) reporting, data integrity initiatives, and automation efforts.

Team Leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration

The Lead, Financial Reporting will mentor and review the work of junior finance team members, fostering their professional growth. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Compliance, Legal, Product, and Operations, to ensure finance readiness for new product launches such as wallet, Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL), cards, remittance, and loyalty/cashback programs.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in financial reporting and compliance. A strong understanding of SAMA, ZATCA, SOCPA, and IFRS requirements, particularly IFRS 9, 15, and 16, is essential. Experience with ERP systems, specifically Oracle NetSuite, is preferred.
