About the Role

Kaizen Consulting is seeking a Lead Sustainability Consultant to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading and executing consulting projects across sustainability, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), compliance, and sustainable performance development.

Role Overview

The consultant will work directly with clients and project teams to understand specific challenges, assess current states, and develop strategic improvement plans. A key aspect of this role is translating regulatory requirements and industry best practices into practical, implementable, and measurable solutions tailored to client needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and implement workstreams within sustainability and ESG projects.
• Conduct current state assessments, maturity level evaluations, and gap analyses.
• Develop sustainability strategies, improvement plans, and executive roadmaps.
• Prepare and review technical reports, executive presentations, and other consulting deliverables.
• Develop sustainability-related performance indicators, monitoring, and measurement frameworks.
• Analyze relevant systems, legislation, and regulatory requirements, translating them into actionable procedures.
• Support clients in developing policies, frameworks, and methodologies for sustainability and governance.
• Manage stakeholder communication and facilitate meetings and workshops with client teams.
• Provide consulting recommendations based on data analysis, best practices, and industry insights.
• Contribute to the preparation of specialized studies, benchmarks, and research.
• Oversee certain tasks of project team members and ensure the quality of deliverables.
• Support client knowledge transfer and capacity building initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Sustainability, ESG, or related areas.
• Previous experience in consulting or implementing consulting projects with diverse entities is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ESG, EHS practices, compliance, and sustainability requirements.
• Practical experience in preparing maturity assessments, gap analyses, development plans, and roadmaps.
• Good understanding of relevant Saudi systems, legislation, regulatory requirements, and Saudi Vision 2030 trends.
• Ability to produce high-quality technical reports, documents, and executive presentations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, meeting and workshop facilitation, and knowledge transfer skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and adhere to project timelines.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English, written and spoken.
