About King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center
King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center, a prominent healthcare institution located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a dedicated Lead Technical Assistant. This full-time position is integral to the efficient operation of our laboratory services, requiring a professional who can effectively coordinate and support technical activities.
Role Summary
The Lead Technical Assistant is responsible for leading and coordinating the activities of technical assistants within the laboratory. This role also involves providing direct assistance in various specialty areas, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to established protocols. The position requires a commitment to quality and compliance with healthcare standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and resolve problems related to specimen procurement and the activities of technical assistants, particularly within specialty areas such as Parasitology, Cytogenetics, Microscopy, and Blood Transfusion Service.
- Receive daily schedules and assign technical assistants to specific areas of the Hospital and clinics for specimen procurement.
- Assist in the training and development of new technical assistants.
- Oversee the distribution of laboratory reports.
- Manage the inventory and requisition process for blood-collecting supplies.
- Perform all duties related to blood collecting and other tasks as needed.
- Comply with all section policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Follow the section's quality improvement program in accordance with CBAHI, JCI, CAP, SFDA, and other international accreditation agency standards.
- Adhere to all Hospital’s related Policies and Procedures.
- Participate in personal and team education, training, and development initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support laboratory operations.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 0-1 years of relevant experience is required.
- Current registration from the country of origin and the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) is mandatory.
- For non-Saudi applicants, completion of approved accreditation according to the country of origin is required.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position within a dynamic hospital laboratory setting. The role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires adherence to strict healthcare policies and quality standards.
