Job Description
About Noon and the Learning Experience Head Teacher Role
Noon - Education for Everyone is a leading edtech platform in the Middle East, focused on transforming the classroom experience through social, group-based learning and AI. The company operates hybrid classrooms across Saudi Arabia. This full-time position for a Learning Experience Head Teacher for Math & Physics (National Curriculum) is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Role Overview and Academic Focus
This role is central to shaping the curriculum and delivery within Noon's hybrid classroom model, where remote star teachers lead sessions and students gather in physical classrooms with in-room facilitators. It is an academic position, not a management one, focusing on curriculum design, quality assurance, and teacher coaching rather than administrative tasks or headcount management. The Head Teacher will influence the learning experience for thousands of students daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead curriculum and term planning, working with the design team to determine topics, weighting, and overall term/year plans. Review final lessons built in the system.
- Coach delivery teachers on content delivery, hybrid room management, and student engagement through observation, feedback, and follow-up.
- Deliver teaching sessions periodically to maintain proximity to content, observe practical application, and gather direct student feedback.
- Ensure the academic quality of the Math & Physics curriculum for Middle School and High School on the National track, including topic sequencing, depth, and alignment with assessments.
- Develop and sign off on term and year plans in collaboration with Design Leads before production.
- Conduct the final academic review of built lessons before they are delivered to students.
- Partner with Learning Excellence to coach and develop the delivery teaching bench for assigned subjects.
- Analyze assessment data (Diagnostics, Exit Tickets, End-of-Chapter results, Learning Gain) to inform future curriculum adjustments.
- Serve as the academic voice in cross-functional discussions with Design, Learning Excellence, Product, and Data teams.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of classroom teaching experience, with genuine depth across both middle school and high school.
- 3–5 years of experience managing or coaching other teachers, such as a head of department, subject lead, mentor, or in a formal coaching role.
- Familiarity with Saudi national assessments, including Qudurat, Tahsili, and Nafes.
- Strong digital proficiency and comfort teaching in a digital environment, specifically within a hybrid classroom platform.
- Must be based in Riyadh or willing to relocate. Saudi nationals with KSA teaching experience are preferred.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- A coaching certification or completion of a formal teacher training program.
- Experience with international curricula beyond the local curriculum.
- Familiarity with international assessment frameworks (PISA, TIMSS, PIRLS) and their implications for teaching methodology.
- Experience using AI in teaching or curriculum development.
- Experience with hybrid, blended, or remote instruction models.
Impact and Nature of the Role
This role offers the opportunity for academic judgment to influence thousands of students daily across all Noon schools. The position holds direct academic authority over curriculum content and delivery quality. It contributes to developing a new pedagogical model for hybrid teaching in Saudi Arabia. Decisions are informed by direct assessment signals and learning gain data, allowing for evidence-based curriculum adjustments.
