About the Role

DISCOVERED is seeking a Localisation Producer to establish and lead an Arabic-first localisation function from its inception. This full-time position, based in Riyadh, involves building a specialised localisation team for an international games company. The role requires a hands-on technical leader capable of navigating complex linguistic requirements and scalable software engineering.

Role Purpose and Scope

The primary mission of this role is twofold: to lead the high-fidelity localisation of existing global titles into Arabic and to architect self-service tools and Unity-based frameworks. These frameworks will enable game teams to localise content autonomously. The Localisation Producer will own the roadmap, set technical standards, and build the foundational team for this new function.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical implementation of RTL rendering, bidirectional text, and dynamic font scaling in Unity to ensure native Arabic integration.
• Design automated CI/CD workflows for extracting, translating, and re-injecting localised content into live builds, reducing time-to-market for regional updates.
• Architect internal tools, including string management, automated QA, and translation synchronisation, to facilitate autonomous Arabic localisation for game teams.
• Recruit and mentor a core team of senior engineers and UX designers focused on MENA-specific technical challenges.
• Act as an internal consultant for game studios, providing SDKs and best practices to achieve "Arabic-ready" status independently.
• Drive the multi-phase roadmap and the end-to-end delivery lifecycle, encompassing sprint cycles, RTL quality gates, and CI/CD integration.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in game engineering, with a deep foundation in Unity.
• Proven track record in leading the development of internal tools, SDKs, or complex technical pipelines.
• Demonstrated expertise in the technical nuances of Arabic localisation, including RTL, ligatures, and contextual shaping.
• Experience in building and leading cross-functional teams, ideally from an early or greenfield stage.

Essential Skills and Attributes

• Strong operational and delivery discipline, coupled with excellent stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to independently identify what needs to be built and how, in the absence of an existing localisation function.
