About Qiddiya and the Role
Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a Manager - CCU Crisis Readiness to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position is central to enhancing the city's preparedness for various emergency scenarios, operating within the dynamic environment of Qiddiya.
Role Purpose and Context
The primary objective of this role is to ensure that Qiddiya's City Command Unit (CCU) is fully equipped and ready to respond effectively to large-scale crises, major incidents, and emergency situations. The Manager will focus on strategic planning, comprehensive preparedness initiatives, and rigorous exercising to build robust organizational resilience and facilitate seamless crisis activation across the entire city.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve crisis management plans, emergency response frameworks, and business continuity procedures for city-wide operations.
- Design, plan, and facilitate crisis simulation exercises, tabletop scenarios, and full-scale drills involving internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify gaps in crisis preparedness across city assets.
- Coordinate with government agencies, emergency services, and regulatory bodies to ensure alignment with national and local crisis management requirements.
- Establish and maintain crisis communication protocols, ensuring clear and timely information flow during major events.
- Lead after-action reviews following exercises and real events, producing recommendations for corrective action and capability improvement.
- Support live control room operations by manning the crisis operations desk, if needed.
- Support the integration of crisis readiness standards into the operational readiness framework across all Qiddiya assets.
Required Experience
Candidates for this role should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in crisis management, emergency preparedness, or a related field. This experience should demonstrate a proven ability to develop and implement comprehensive readiness strategies.
Work Location and Type
This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires a dedicated presence to manage and coordinate critical crisis readiness initiatives within the Qiddiya city environment.
