Role Overview: Material Planner

ALSTOM Transmission & Distribution is seeking a Material Planner to join the team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves applying supply chain and planning expertise to ensure material availability and optimize inventory management for project success. The Material Planner will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to material strategies and transitions.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the Work Package Owner (WPO) for Procurement to achieve Material Milestones and meet agreed Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) commitments for the procurement Work Package.
• Analyze inventory consumption to identify trends and areas for improvement in material strategies.
• Define and set up parameters for implementing material planning and batch strategies.
• Execute improvement plans focused on inventory reduction and maximizing cash flow.
• Create purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, engineering, and finance, to align material planning strategies with project requirements.
• Actively participate in the Engineering Change Committee to ensure proper planning for material changes.
• Define material typology based on ABC classification and variability to establish planning tactics and support project replenishment.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated expertise in supply chain and planning.
