MECHANICAL BIM ENGINEER

About the Role

Duncan & Ross is seeking a Mechanical BIM Engineer to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires a highly skilled professional with 5-10 years of experience in BIM modeling and coordination for building and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing mechanical BIM models in compliance with project requirements and international BIM standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for mechanical systems using Autodesk Revit.
• Prepare HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and mechanical services models.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, electrical, and other MEP disciplines to resolve clashes.
• Conduct clash detection using Navisworks and participate in coordination meetings.
• Produce shop drawings, sections, schedules, and as-built drawings from BIM models.
• Ensure models comply with project BIM Execution Plan (BEP), standards, and client requirements.
• Review consultant drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Support quantity take-offs and material estimation from BIM models.
• Collaborate with site engineers and construction teams for model updates and technical support.
• Maintain model accuracy and ensure timely project deliverables.
• Assist in preparing BIM reports and documentation.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience in BIM modeling and coordination, specifically within building and infrastructure projects. A strong understanding of mechanical systems and BIM workflows is essential for this role.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit for developing 3D BIM models.
• Experience with Navisworks for clash detection.
• Good understanding of HVAC systems, Plumbing & drainage systems, and Firefighting systems.
• Knowledge of international standards and codes relevant to mechanical systems and BIM.
