About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Restaurant Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations in Riyadh. This full-time role involves supervising restaurant, bar, and room service functions, assisting with menu planning, and maintaining sanitation standards. The Manager will support staff during peak meal periods and work to enhance guest and employee satisfaction while optimizing financial performance. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily restaurant, bar/lounge, and room service operations, ensuring service and sanitation standards are met.
• Review staffing levels to align with guest service needs, operational requirements, and financial objectives.
• Lead the food and beverage team, fostering mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
• Identify developmental needs of staff and provide coaching, mentoring, or training to enhance knowledge and skills.
• Ensure compliance with all food & beverage policies, standards, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations, including food handling and liquor laws.
• Provide exceptional customer service, managing day-to-day operations to meet customer expectations and handling guest problems and complaints effectively.
• Gather guest feedback on food and beverage quality, service levels, and overall satisfaction to drive continuous improvement.
• Manage and conduct human resource activities, including setting performance standards, monitoring performance, and ensuring fair and equitable treatment of employees.
• Oversee the financial aspects of the department, including purchasing and invoice payments.

Leadership and Team Development

The Restaurant Manager will utilize strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead and influence the team, advocating for sound financial decision-making and demonstrating honesty and integrity. This role involves setting specific goals, prioritizing work, and ensuring high productivity levels. The Manager will provide vision and direction to align departmental goals efficiently and effectively, serving as a role model for appropriate behaviors and customer service excellence.

Guest Experience Management

A primary focus of this role is to deliver services that exceed customer expectations, ensuring high satisfaction and retention. The Manager will actively improve service by guiding staff to understand guest needs and providing feedback and coaching. This includes managing service delivery from guest entry to departure, encompassing greetings, order taking, food and beverage delivery, special request fulfillment, and payment collection.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in restaurant management or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and manage daily operations effectively.
• Proficiency in maintaining service and sanitation standards.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of food handling, sanitation standards, and applicable liquor laws.
• Ability to analyze information and evaluate results to solve problems.
