About the Role

Akkodis is seeking an experienced Mobile Engineering Technical Lead to oversee the technical delivery and evolution of a large-scale digital application platform in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves hands-on technical leadership, combining mobile engineering, backend integration, cloud/DevOps, and team guidance. The successful candidate will take technical ownership of the platform, guide engineering standards and architecture implementation, and remain actively involved in development, troubleshooting, and delivery within a complex enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end technical delivery and evolution of enterprise mobile applications across iOS and Android.
• Provide hands-on development and technical problem-solving support to engineers.
• Drive engineering standards, code quality, maintainability, and platform scalability.
• Oversee integration between mobile applications and supporting backend/BFF services, ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable communication.
• Support cloud-based application environments across Azure and/or AWS, driving effective CI/CD, deployment automation, and DevOps practices.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization patterns, including OAuth2 and OpenID Connect, and ensure alignment with Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) practices.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to mobile and software engineers, building capability through coaching, onboarding, and knowledge sharing.
• Coordinate technical handovers and platform transitions, including source-code repositories, CI/CD pipelines, documentation, monitoring, and operational processes.

Required Skills and Experience

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with several years in a Technical Lead, Engineering Lead, or similar senior technical capacity.
• Strong experience delivering and supporting enterprise-scale mobile applications.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Swift for iOS and Kotlin for Android.
• Experience with Java / Spring Boot or similar backend technologies.
• Strong understanding of modern mobile architecture and application-design patterns.
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) architectures.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, deployment automation, and DevOps practices.
• Experience working with Azure and/or AWS cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of application security, including OAuth2, OpenID Connect, certificates, secrets management, encryption, and access control.
• Proven ability to lead engineers while remaining technically hands-on.

Preferred Experience

• Experience managing application/platform transitions, source-code migrations, or technical ownership handovers.
• Hands-on experience onboarding applications into new cloud environments.
• Exposure to IoT, connected products, real-time digital platforms, or similarly complex technology ecosystems.

Qualifications

• Strong professional English communication skills.
• Proven experience balancing technical leadership with hands-on engineering delivery.
