About the Role

Avensys Consulting is seeking an MS Dynamics F&O Technical Consultant to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This contract role is central to designing, planning, and overseeing the migration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations solutions from on-premises infrastructure to Microsoft Azure cloud.

Role Overview

The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, and technical teams to ensure a seamless transition. Key objectives include maintaining data integrity, business continuity, and optimal system performance throughout the migration process. This position requires a strong technical leader with expertise in complex ERP cloud transitions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive migration strategy and roadmap from on-premises Dynamics 365 to the cloud, including current state assessments and gap analysis.
• Lead the technical design and implementation of cloud-based Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations solutions, overseeing data migration strategies and evaluating cloud infrastructure components.
• Plan and execute data migration from on-premises systems to the cloud, ensuring zero data loss, data cleansing, validation, and reconciliation.
• Design integration strategies for connecting cloud-based Dynamics 365 with existing on-premises and third-party systems, configuring middleware, APIs, and messaging solutions.
• Monitor and optimize cloud solution performance, scalability, and cost efficiency, implementing security best practices, identity management, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Lead and mentor technical teams throughout migration phases, providing technical guidance, code reviews, and conducting knowledge transfer sessions for operations and support teams.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, finance teams, and operations management to align technical solutions with business requirements, and manage vendor relationships.

Qualifications and Experience

• 8-12 years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance and Operations) implementations and support.
• Strong knowledge of both on-premises Dynamics 365 and cloud-based Dynamics 365 environments.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with ERP migrations, particularly on-premises to cloud transitions.
• Proven expertise in data migration planning, execution, and validation.
• Experience with legacy system assessment and modernization strategies.
• Track record of managing complex, large-scale migration projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Project management skills with experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
