Introduction to the Role

Luxoft is seeking a dedicated Murex Environment Manager to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves providing critical technical production support for Murex environments, with a primary focus on End-of-Day (EOD) processes and market risk activities for a prominent banking client.

Role Overview and Focus

The Murex Environment Manager will play a key role in ensuring the stability and efficient operation of Murex production systems. This includes comprehensive management of daily EOD processes, proactive issue resolution, and robust support for market risk functions, all essential for maintaining the client's critical financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor Murex * and EOD processes via automated Control-M tools, resolving issues to ensure timely completion of all batch jobs.
  • Provide Level 2 support for all EOD-related issues and implement problem management strategies to address recurring problems effectively.
  • Execute EOD procedures, including creating jobs, performing test runs, and validating the EOD flow.
  • Troubleshoot failures during EOD, user/trader issues, system malfunctions, and infrastructure-related problems.
  • Conduct Pre-EOD checks and continuously monitor critical EOD jobs.
  • Resolve EOD issues such as DataMart feeder failures, market data failures, slow or crashed user sessions, and accounting EOD failures, escalating to Infrastructure teams when necessary.
  • Log and report all issues encountered during batch processing.
  • Manage vendor deliveries, support, and closure for Market Risk-related activities.
  • Coordinate with vendors for reported bugs, track fixes, deploy re-tests, and ensure the quality of technical deployments.
  • Support users with SIT and UAT application access, providing guidance on best practices and limitations, and securing necessary sign-offs.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of the overall EOD process.
  • Perform sanity checks within the Murex UI, including workflows and real-time data.
  • Handle ad hoc operational requests such as generating on-demand reports, facilitating file transfers, and performing housekeeping activities.
  • Liaise with vendors to run diagnostics and troubleshoot EOD issues.

Required Experience and Expertise

  • 8-10 years of direct experience in Murex environment management.
  • Proficiency with Murex EOD architecture, including key services and the end-to-end process.
  • A strong understanding of Murex log structure and artifact locations.
  • Experience with Datamart Dynamic tables/Feeders/batch Configuration, scanner templates, and processing script definition.
  • Demonstrated experience with Murex Market Risk functionalities.

Essential Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of scheduling tools such as Control-M and Autosys.
  • Understanding of database fundamentals, including query plans, SQL, and indexing.
