About the Role

Luxoft is seeking a Murex Environment Manager specializing in End-of-Day (EOD) and Market Risk activities. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and involves providing technical production support for a large bank environment. The role focuses on ensuring the stability and efficiency of Murex EOD processes and managing market risk-related operations.

Role Context and Focus

As a Murex Environment Manager, you will be responsible for the technical production support of Murex environments, specifically concentrating on EOD processing and market risk functions. This includes monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues to maintain operational integrity and timely completion of critical financial processes. The role requires 5-10 years of relevant experience in Murex production support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor Murex * and EOD processes through automated Control-M tools and resolve issues, ensuring all batch jobs complete on time.
  • Provide Level 2 Support for all EOD issues and ensure repeated issues are closed via problem management.
  • Perform EOD operations, including creating jobs, test runs, and testing the flow of EOD processes.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to failures during EOD, user/trader issues, system failures, and infrastructure problems.
  • Perform Pre-EOD checks and monitor important EOD jobs.
  • Fix EOD issues, resolve problems such as DataMart feeder failures, market data failures, slow user sessions or session crashes, and accounting EOD failures, escalating to Infrastructure teams as needed.
  • Log and report all issues encountered in batch processing.
  • Manage Market Risk related vendor deliveries, support, and closure.
  • Coordinate with vendors for reported bugs, track fixes, deploy, re-test, and ensure quality of technical deployments.
  • Support users with SIT and UAT application access, best practices, limitations, and secure sign-off.
  • Monitor and tune the performance of the overall EOD system.
  • Perform sanity checks in the Murex UI, including workflows and real-time data.
  • Perform ad hoc operational requests such as generating on-demand reports, file transfers, and housekeeping activities.
  • Liaise with vendors to run diagnostics and troubleshoot EOD issues.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Proficiency with Murex EOD architecture, key services, and end-to-end processes.
  • Good understanding of Murex log structure and artifact locations.
  • Experience with Datamart Dynamic tables, Feeders, batch Configuration, scanner templates, and processing script definition.
  • Demonstrated Murex Market Risk experience.

Essential Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of scheduling tools such as Control-M and Autosys.
  • Understanding of database fundamentals, including query plans, SQL, and indexing.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position with Luxoft, located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working within a large bank environment, providing critical technical support for Murex systems.
