Role Overview

Abdullah Al-Othaim Markets is seeking an Occupational Health & Safety Specialist to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and compliant working environment within the factory. The specialist will focus on implementing and monitoring health, safety, and hygiene practices in alignment with food safety regulations and local legal requirements, fostering a strong safety culture across all factory operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain occupational health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with food industry standards and local regulations.
• Conduct regular workplace risk assessments, safety inspections, and hygiene audits across production, warehousing, and utility areas.
• Ensure continuous compliance with occupational health, safety, and food hygiene regulations, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) requirements.
• Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses, preparing detailed reports that outline corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor safety performance indicators and prepare regular reports on overall safety performance and compliance status.
• Collaborate effectively with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Human Resources teams to integrate safety and hygiene practices into daily operational workflows.
• Support and contribute to emergency preparedness, fire safety, chemical handling, machinery safety, and ergonomics programs.
• Maintain accurate safety records, inspection reports, permits, and comprehensive compliance documentation.

Required Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this position should possess 5 to 10 years of experience in occupational health and safety, preferably within a factory or food industry environment. A strong understanding of food safety regulations, GMP, and HACCP principles is essential.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role operates within a factory setting, requiring a proactive approach to maintaining safety standards across various operational areas.
