Operational Risk Specialist

About the Role

Enjaz is seeking an Operational Risk Specialist to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is designed for individuals with 0-1 years of experience, focusing on supporting the implementation of the operational risk framework. The specialist will assist in monitoring, identifying, and documenting risks to ensure processes comply with established risk management standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with business units to conduct Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) workshops and evaluate risks and controls.
• Document identified risks, assess control effectiveness, and follow up on any gaps or deficiencies in controls.
• Maintain a comprehensive RCSA database and library for all business processes.
• Monitor and report operational incidents, losses, and near misses across all divisions.
• Document incidents in the operational risk database and ensure timely updates.
• Assist in root-cause analysis to identify underlying factors for major incidents.
• Track and report the status of corrective actions to prevent recurrence of incidents.
• Monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) relevant to operational risks, such as system downtime and fraud events, and update dashboards accordingly.
• Collect and analyze loss data to identify trends and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Prepare incident reports and summaries for operational risk committees and management.
• Support the business continuity management (BCM) program, including planning and testing activities.
• Assist in the organization and execution of scenario analysis exercises to evaluate operational resilience.
• Prepare operational risk reports and submit them to the operational risk manager for review.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment between operational risk activities and overall business operations.

Experience and Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in operational risk or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to assist in monitoring, identifying, and documenting risks.
• Understanding of risk management standards and compliance processes.
