About the OPINT Role at BAE SYSTEMS

BAE SYSTEMS is seeking an OPINT professional for a full-time position in Riyadh. This role serves as the primary interface with RSAF Command and front-line operations, focusing on understanding and responding to Mission Data (MD) needs. The OPINT is responsible for the end-to-end MD production activity, including generation and briefing of MD material to front-line aircrew. The position also ensures that Typhoon Post-Flight Analysis (PFA) information is disseminated to relevant Electronic Warfare Centre (EWC) sections for analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain EWC Typhoon documentation, such as Concept of Operations (CONOPs) and Concept of Use (CONUSE).
  • Interface with the Intelligence Directorate for new ELINT Collection tasking to support MD Operational Requirements.
  • Specify and prioritize operationally relevant threat engagement scenarios.
  • Liaise with the RSAF MD tasking agency and front-line users to understand and agree upon Training, Exercise, and Operational MD requirements, including content, priority, rules of engagement, tactics, and schedule. This involves identifying intended MD use, generating Electronic Order of Battle (EOB) and Theatre Environment Requirements, providing Mission Data System (MDS) scenario requirements for Test & Validation (T&V), allocating tactics and Countermeasures (CMs) to identified threats, specifying Multifunctional Information Distribution System coverage, platforms, and message contents, and specifying Identification Friend or Foe modes for the theatre of operation.
  • Advise the Test, Validation, and Acceptance Cell Directorate (TVACD) Section on Typhoon aircraft performance characteristics and tactics.
  • Issue MDS, including MD configuration control and associated documentation (EWC and Front-line).
  • Produce RSAF Typhoon front-line user MDS briefing material and supporting documentation, such as the Aircrew Briefing Guide (ABG), which may cover operational performance and tactical use of the MDS.
  • Brief MDS content and anticipated performance to front-line users and debrief MD performance problems with them.
  • Coordinate MDS feedback to other EWC Sections.
  • Manage PFA activities, both internal and external to the EWC.
  • Support the Test and Evaluation cell at Taif.
  • Plan and manage EWC support to trials, and process and manage the analysis of trial and exercise data.
  • Develop and maintain Operations section processes and procedures.
  • Carry out any further functions requested by the RSAF.

Operational Intelligence Interface

This role serves as the EWC's primary interface to the Intelligence Directorate for the collection and validation of operational intelligence, including Operational Electronic Intelligence (OpELINT), ELINT, and Typhoon PFA.

Experience Required

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in a similar field.
