About the Role
Abunayyan Holding, through its entity WETICO, is seeking a Painting Supervisor to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is dedicated to leading industrial surface preparation and protective coating activities for significant projects within the oil & gas, petrochemical, and water treatment sectors.
Role Purpose
The Painting Supervisor will be responsible for the direct oversight and coordination of all blasting and painting operations. This role ensures that all activities comply with stringent project specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols, contributing to the successful delivery of industrial coating projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise blasting and painting activities to ensure full compliance with project specifications.
- Plan and coordinate all stages of surface preparation, coating application, curing, and inspection.
- Monitor environmental conditions, including humidity, dew point, substrate temperature, and ventilation, to ensure optimal application conditions.
- Ensure strict adherence to coating specifications, Wet Film Thickness (WFT) / Dry Film Thickness (DFT) requirements, recoat windows, and repair procedures.
- Verify coating materials, batch numbers, shelf life, and correct mixing ratios.
- Maintain comprehensive coating records, batch traceability, and all necessary inspection documentation.
- Lead and coach blasting and painting teams, actively enforcing Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements and safe work practices.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial blasting and protective coating.
- At least 4 years in a supervisory role within oil & gas, petrochemical, or similar heavy industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of surface preparation techniques, various coating systems, environmental monitoring, DFT/WFT inspection, and overall coating quality control.
Preferred Experience
Experience working on projects regulated by Saudi Aramco (SAES/SAEP standards) is highly preferred for this position.
