Paymaster / General Cashier

About the Role

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Paymaster / General Cashier to join the Finance team at Holiday Inn Riyadh Rose Yard. This full-time position, based in Riyadh, requires 2-5 years of experience and involves managing payroll processing, hotel cash operations, and daily cash reconciliations. The successful candidate will ensure accurate financial records and compliance with IHG standards, internal controls, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and ensure timely salary payments in accordance with company policies.
• Maintain employee payroll records and support payroll reconciliations.
• Receive, count, verify, and reconcile daily cash collections from all hotel outlets.
• Prepare daily General Cashier reports and bank deposit slips.
• Safeguard petty cash, cashier floats, and other hotel cash funds.
• Reconcile cash, credit card settlements, and bank deposits, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
• Process petty cash reimbursements and maintain supporting documentation.
• Maintain accurate cash records and ensure all transactions are properly documented and authorized.
• Coordinate with Finance and operational departments to ensure accurate cash handling procedures.
• Support month-end closing activities, cash reconciliations, and audit requirements.
• Ensure compliance with IHG financial policies, internal controls, and local statutory requirements.
• Perform other finance-related duties as assigned by the Director of Finance & Business Support.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Payroll, General Cashiering, or Hotel Finance.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of payroll processes, cash handling procedures, and financial controls.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems; experience with hotel PMS or payroll systems is preferred.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and reconciliation skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information and meet reporting deadlines.
