We are seeking a People Ops & Culture Specialist for a full-time position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Role Summary

The People Ops & Culture Specialist will serve as the operational anchor for AstroLabs’ People function within Saudi Arabia. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance, operational excellence, and a positive employee experience, while actively championing AstroLabs’ culture locally. The specialist will manage Saudi government portals, oversee employee lifecycle operations, and maintain HR systems accuracy. Additionally, this position acts as a primary point of contact for employees and managers, providing support on employee relations matters and fostering engagement within the KSA office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Saudi government portals (*, GOSI, Qiwa, Mudad, Muqeem), ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submissions.
  • Monitor regulatory updates in Saudi labor law, assess their impact, and ensure company compliance.
  • Oversee KSA employment documentation and regulatory requirements in coordination with GRO/PRO services.
  • Manage the full onboarding process for KSA employees, including documentation, system access, and coordination with managers.
  • Administer offboarding processes, ensuring compliant closures, documentation, asset retrieval, and access disablement.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee queries and concerns, ensuring timely and professional resolution.
  • Support conflict resolution and employee relations matters in coordination with the People Team, ensuring policy adherence and local labor regulations.
  • Maintain HRIS data accuracy for KSA employees, ensuring real-time updates and proper documentation of employee lifecycle records.
  • Manage employee medical insurance enrollment, renewals, upgrades, and claims support, ensuring compliance with local requirements.
  • Track company assets (laptops, SIM cards, equipment), coordinate their issuance and retrieval, and report on inventory.
  • Champion AstroLabs’ culture and values within the KSA office, identifying and addressing behaviors that may compromise values.
  • Design and coordinate local engagement initiatives, including celebrations, recognition moments, and team-building activities.

Indicators of Success

  • Achieve full compliance with Saudi labor regulations and government portal requirements, without delays or errors.
  • Ensure onboarding and offboarding processes are seamless, compliant, and effectively coordinated.
  • Maintain HRIS records with accuracy and real-time updates for all KSA employees.
  • Handle employee relations matters professionally and proactively.
  • Drive strong engagement and foster a positive workplace environment through effective cultural initiatives.
  • Administer assets and benefits accurately and efficiently.
  • Build trusted partnerships with employees and managers across the organization.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in a relevant People Operations or HR role.
  • Demonstrated high attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Genuine interest in culture-building and enhancing the employee experience.
  • Proven trustworthiness and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential matters.
  • A solutions-oriented and proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Comfortable navigating and ensuring adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements.
