About the Role
Nutanix is seeking a Physical Security and Safety Specialist to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is responsible for ensuring the physical security and safety of Nutanix's staff, properties, and assets across our International (MEA) office locations, home office personnel, travelers, and events. The Specialist will contribute to delivering a strategic physical security and safety program, utilizing advanced technology, and aligning security measures with risk management, business priorities, and company culture.
Key Responsibilities
As the primary point of contact for all physical security and safety matters within the MEA region, and providing support for EMEA physical security and safety, key responsibilities include:
- Conducting and coordinating physical security services, access control systems, CCTV systems, safety protocols, and investigations for Nutanix facilities, events, and travelers throughout the MEA region.
- Managing vendor relationships for MEA Physical Security manpower and systems providers, including defining and driving the execution of Service Level Agreements and performance metrics.
- Establishing strategic relationships and providing direction on service requirements to property management at MEA locations where physical security manpower service is present.
- Managing the MEA physical security and safety operations budget, focusing on driving efficiencies and quality optimizations in line with the EMEA regional strategy.
- Physically responding to all physical security and safety incidents in Riyadh and providing remote support for incidents throughout the MEA region.
- Conducting surprise physical security drills to assess the efficiency of existing measures.
- Planning, developing, and directing physical security and safety plans for company-sponsored onsite and offsite events.
- Managing security and safety-related investigations as required.
Program Development and Implementation
This role involves significant contributions to the development and scaling of security programs and infrastructure:
- Leading the implementation of tools and processes to provide and communicate real-time information that could impact the MEA region.
- Planning and directing the installation of electronic security systems, such as CCTV surveillance, access control, and other systems, in alignment with department guidelines.
- Supporting the building and scaling of physical security and safety programs in line with business growth.
- Documenting and training Receptionists and Office Managers within the MEA region on relevant physical security and safety topics.
- Supporting the implementation of environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure all regulatory and compliance requirements are met within the MEA region.
- Developing emergency response plans for all MEA facilities in preparation for natural or manmade emergencies.
- Directing the enlistment, training, and development of a floor warden program for emergency evacuations and health-related incidents.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience and demonstrate the following:
- Direct experience in implementing and managing physical security system installations.
- Experience managing contract physical security services and service performance.
- A well-established professional network of physical security and law enforcement contacts.
- Knowledge of current security technology, including access control, CCTV, identification, and special applications.
- Knowledge of specific threats, risks, and operational challenges relevant to the region.

Work Environment and Reporting
This full-time position is based out of the Nutanix office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and reports directly to the EMEA Manager Physical Security and Safety. The role operates within a dynamic international environment, requiring adaptability and proactive engagement.
