About the Pre Qualification & Prescription Manager Role
Alfanar is seeking a Pre Qualification & Prescription Manager to oversee critical processes within its Utilities division. This full-time position, based in Riyadh, requires 5-10 years of experience. The role involves managing prequalification activities and ensuring excellence in prescription processes, contributing directly to the company's success in project pursuits.
Strategic Contribution and Market Engagement
This role contributes to the formulation and implementation of Power & Water sales strategies, plans, and processes for generation, transmission, distribution, and water systems, aligning with Alfanar's objectives. It involves staying updated on end-user and consultant requirements, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders in the power and water sectors, and monitoring market and sales plan achievements. Regular progress reports with recommendations for corrective actions will be provided to top management.
Strategy Implementation and Market Analysis
The position ensures the effective implementation of the prequalification strategy by setting objectives, managing performance, and fostering a motivated team. Coordination of power and water products and solutions across Alfanar's units is essential for a cohesive market presence. The role also involves providing and implementing tools to meet market requirements, particularly those supporting technical specification and compliance for clients in the power and water sectors. Continuous market research, including customer interactions and visits, will inform the specification of market needs for current and future solutions, with forecasts for long- and short-term market potential in Saudi Arabia.
Compliance and Customer Support
Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards within the power and water sales domain is a key responsibility. The role also provides comprehensive support to local end-users and clients adopting Alfanar's power and water solutions, aiming to ensure a positive customer experience.
Leadership and Operational Accountability
This role demands strong HR proficiency, including the ability to recruit, develop, and manage high-performing team members, as well as address underperformance. The manager must take full responsibility for their operations, anticipate and prevent problems, and make timely decisions. Delivering required results with the specified quality and cost, and making a tangible positive impact on their area of operation, are critical. This includes transforming corporate goals into actionable business plans, monitoring performance, initiating corrective actions, and providing periodic progress reports. Budget and expense monitoring for optimum cost efficiency is also required.
Organizational Development and Process Improvement
The position involves developing the organizational structure according to current and future requirements, ensuring job descriptions are available and deployed. Developing well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, and seeking automation opportunities are key. Familiarity with relevant IT solutions and promoting their full utilization is expected. Quality is considered a prime competitive advantage for Alfanar, and managers are expected to uphold this standard. Adaptation to new techniques, technologies, management structures, and business models is also essential, alongside ensuring a safe, secure, and legal work environment.
