The Role: Procurement Engineer MEP Projects (Saudi Talent)

Daikin Saudi دايكن - السعودية is seeking a Procurement Engineer MEP Projects (Saudi Talent) to join its team in Al Dar Al Baida District, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to the successful execution of HVAC projects across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Procurement Engineer is responsible for managing the complete procurement cycle for project-related materials, equipment, and subcontracting services, ensuring technical compliance, competitive pricing, and timely delivery in alignment with project schedules and company objectives. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the entire procurement cycle for HVAC projects, from material requisition through to final delivery.
• Review technical specifications, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), drawings, and procurement requests to ensure adherence to project requirements.
• Source, evaluate, and prequalify suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors, conducting techno-commercial evaluations for cost-effective and technically compliant solutions.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and contractual conditions with suppliers, issuing Purchase Orders in accordance with company procedures.
• Coordinate with engineering, estimation, project management, warehouse, and finance teams to facilitate smooth project execution and ensure timely material availability.
• Monitor procurement schedules, expedite critical materials, and follow up on manufacturing progress, inspections, logistics, customs clearance, and site deliveries.
• Maintain comprehensive procurement records, vendor documentation, procurement tracking reports, and supplier performance evaluations within ERP/SAP systems.
• Analyze market trends, pricing movements, and procurement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to support strategic sourcing and cost optimization initiatives.
• Participate in supplier meetings, factory visits, technical clarifications, and vendor development programs to enhance overall procurement performance.
• Provide mentorship and support to junior procurement engineers and procurement coordinators as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in procurement, specifically within MEP or HVAC projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage procurement cycles, conduct techno-commercial evaluations, and negotiate effectively.
• Proficiency in using ERP/SAP systems for procurement management and record-keeping.
• Strong coordination and communication skills to collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders.
