The Product Designer Role

Almosafer is seeking a Product Designer to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position focuses on enhancing the Digital Consumer Travel experience, specifically how customers book and manage various travel products, including flights, stays, and activities. The role requires 2-5 years of experience and involves working within a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, and other designers to transform problems and opportunities into meaningful and impactful user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and understand customer needs, behaviors, and pain points to define opportunities and problem statements that inform team work.
• Lead and support discovery activities such as user interviews, surveys, and usability tests to uncover customer needs and validate opportunities.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to address customer problems and deliver impactful solutions across multiple web and mobile platforms.
• Consider business needs, technical constraints, data, and platform requirements to produce valuable solutions.
• Translate opportunities into intuitive and effective experiences that deliver customer and business value.
• Rapidly produce concepts and prototypes, discerning when further ideation, testing, or changes in direction are needed.
• Conduct experiments to validate assumptions and optimize solutions.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in a relevant product design role.
• Demonstrated understanding of product strategy and business requirements, with a strong focus on addressing customer needs and pain points.
• Ability to regularly seek and provide constructive feedback.
• Commitment to openly sharing and discussing work at every stage.
• A collaborative approach, thriving on transparency and effective communication within cross-functional teams.
• An online portfolio or PDF is required, featuring up to 3 projects that showcase design thinking processes and the impact of work. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
