This full-time Product Specialist Oncology role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires 0-1 years of experience.
Role Summary
The Product Specialist Oncology is responsible for generating clinical demand for Oncology brands within key accounts. This involves proactively identifying business opportunities, presenting value propositions aligned with stakeholder needs, and recommending solutions to drive business development. The role focuses on building strategic relationships with Multi-Disciplinary Teams (MDT), Decision Making Units (DMU), and other stakeholders, leveraging a deep scientific understanding to identify opportunities for AstraZeneca's Oncology portfolio to deliver medicines to patients. Approximately 90% of the time is allocated to field-based activities, with 10% for office-based work.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities and strategies to enhance the positioning of AstraZeneca's Oncology products at a local level.
- Collaborate with the Sales Manager to develop local strategies and business plans to achieve targets and improve product positioning.
- Engage Oncology Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) in discussions regarding approved indications, product efficacy/safety profiles, and treatment protocols to support on-label prescribing.
- Establish and maintain long-term collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
- Share stakeholder insights internally to strengthen relevant activities such as product development, marketing, and sales efforts.
- Build knowledge and understanding of AstraZeneca's overall Oncology value proposition, product indications, and efficacy data among relevant stakeholders in the MDT and DMU.
- Utilize various communication approaches, techniques, and channels to build knowledge, including science-based discussions, multidisciplinary workshops, and speaker programs.
- Support Oncology nurses with relevant training, such as chemotherapy and testing solutions.
- Drive sales performance to meet or exceed forecasts while managing assigned budgets.
- Promote the benefits of AstraZeneca's Oncology brands using fair balance messages and appropriate promotional tools.
- Ensure optimal utilization of AstraZeneca's products in line with national/local guidelines and product licenses.
- Complete all required training and product examinations.
- Comply with all external regulations and internal policies, adhering to AstraZeneca's Code of Ethics.
- Report health/environment/wellbeing-related accidents, adverse events, and changes in Conflict of Interest status in a timely manner.

- Demonstrated ability to engage key stakeholders in complex clinical environments, including mid and senior-level healthcare professionals, key accounts, and the medical community.
- Proven track record in influencing stakeholder decision-making processes within ecosystems involving multiple influential players and decision-makers, with a history of creating value in complex DMUs.
