About the Program Manager Role

Amazon is seeking an experienced Program Manager to join its team in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on scaling Amazon's operations network through the launch of new facilities and expansion initiatives across the region. Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in program management.

Role Scope and Impact

The Program Manager will own the end-to-end delivery of expansion projects, from site selection and design through construction, launch readiness, and operational handover. This position involves working with multiple stakeholder groups, including operations, engineering, finance, procurement, real estate, technology, and external partners, to ensure new facilities are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. The role requires strong program management skills, the ability to navigate ambiguity, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and drive execution in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of network expansion and launch programs, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Develop project plans, launch schedules, governance mechanisms, and risk mitigation strategies for multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Partner with operations, engineering, finance, procurement, and real estate teams to define requirements and ensure successful project execution.
• Manage external vendors, consultants, contractors, and service providers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Track project performance using data, metrics, and reporting mechanisms, identifying risks and driving corrective actions.
• Own stakeholder communication, providing clear updates on milestones, dependencies, financial performance, risks, and launch readiness.
• Drive process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance launch speed, reduce cost, and increase scalability.
• Support business planning activities, including capital planning, budget forecasting, resource planning, and long-term network expansion strategies.
• Conduct site visits and audits to validate project progress, operational readiness, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
• Build scalable tools, mechanisms, and operating models to enable efficient execution of future expansion programs.

Daily Activities

A typical day involves reviewing project milestones, coordinating with stakeholders, resolving execution risks, and tracking launch readiness activities. The Program Manager will collaborate closely with operations, engineering, finance, procurement, and external partners to maintain project schedules and budgets. Regular analysis of performance metrics, driving process improvements, and communicating progress, risks, and key decisions to senior leaders are also integral parts of the role. Success is achieved by balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution to deliver results.
