Project Engineer Electrical (Substation)

About the Role

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a Project Engineer - Electrical (Substation) to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time role requires a professional with over 10 years of experience, specifically focused on the execution and supervision of 380kV substation projects.

Role Purpose and Context

The Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the execution of 380kV substation and associated electrical and civil works. A primary focus of this position is to ensure strict compliance with project specifications, Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) standards, safety requirements, quality standards, and approved project schedules throughout all phases of work.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day site execution of 380kV BSP/substation projects.
• Coordinate effectively with engineering teams, construction personnel, subcontractors, and SEC representatives.
• Ensure all work is executed in strict accordance with approved drawings, method statements, and project specifications.
• Monitor project progress, including manpower allocation, material availability, and overall site resource utilization.
• Oversee timely inspection, testing, documentation, and closure of all site activities.
• Identify and resolve technical and construction-related issues that arise during project execution.
• Maintain continuous compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC), and SEC requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor of Technology ( or Bachelor of Engineering ( in Electrical Engineering.
• 10 to 15 years of relevant project execution experience.
• Proven experience specifically in 380kV BSP/substation projects.
• Mandatory SEC approval.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of SEC standards.
• Proficiency in project execution methodologies.
• Demonstrated capability in site coordination.
• Experience in subcontractor management.
• Expertise in High Voltage Substation (HV SS) operations and projects.
