Khatib & Alami is a leading multidisciplinary consultancy firm. The company is seeking an experienced Project Manager (PMC) to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position focused on delivering complex projects within the Project Management Consultancy Services (PMC) industry.

The Project Manager (PMC) Role

The Project Manager (PMC) will be responsible for leading and overseeing the successful delivery of significant hospitality projects, specifically two or three 5-star hotels/resorts for famous operators. This role requires a deep understanding of the PMC lifecycle and services, ensuring projects are managed effectively from initiation through to closure while meeting all scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee multiple projects within Project Management Consultancy Services, ensuring successful initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related matters, including scope, schedule, budget, risks, HSE, issues, and stakeholder management, including permits by authorities.
• Define project objectives, requirements, and deliverables.
• Manage project plans, schedules, and work execution.
• Track project progress, performance, and milestones, identifying and resolving issues and risks in a timely manner.
• Manage and motivate project teams, providing coaching and mentorship as needed.
• Manage project documents, ensuring proper documentation and establishing project logs, registers, and archives. Maintain all project documentation updated.
• Lead all project meetings with stakeholders, distribute meeting agendas, and communicate meeting minutes.
• Prepare project status reports and presentations for the client, senior management, and other stakeholders.
• Manage project claims effectively, including negotiations for variations and issuance of engineer instructions.
• Negotiate and resolve conflicts among project team members and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with diverse teams to provide expert advice and contribute to the continuous improvement of project management services.
• Foster open and transparent communication channels within project teams.
• Ensure successful project delivery in terms of progress, quality, and cost budgetary constraints.
• Manage project risk throughout its entire lifecycle, report impacts periodically to the client, and propose mitigation measures.
• Monitor project deliverables to meet agreed standards and satisfy stakeholder requirements at each stage of the project.
• Monitor overall project stakeholder relationships and adjust strategies and plans for engaging stakeholders.
• Develop and establish policies, procedures, and documentation for planning, developing, managing, executing, and controlling the project schedule, including monitoring project tasks and workflows to complete the project on schedule.
• Identify and document specific actions, including establishing milestones, to be performed to produce project deliverables.
• Identify issues that impact the project and manage them through to resolution.
• Develop a robust change control system by setting a project baseline and identifying, reviewing, approving, and monitoring proposed changes to the project scope.
• Manage the design consultant and the design-build contractor to ensure design deliverables are made available on time and achieve client requirements, codes, and standards.
• Manage and track contractor activities and other key stakeholders to obtain authorities’ approvals, permits, and NOCs on time.
• Manage project HSSE activities throughout the project lifecycle to ensure safe and sustained delivery in accordance with client standards, policies, and procedures.
• Review project activities daily to validate, measure, and report actual progress achieved, and validate reports submitted by project participants throughout the lifecycle. Report findings and recommendations to the client. Lead project reporting activities across the K&A team and act as the focal point of communication and reporting with the client.
• Manage project procurements in accordance with client policies and procedures.
• Respond to all contractor claims, letters, and correspondence on time.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• A minimum of 18 years of professional experience in project management.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar Project Manager (PMC) position within the Project Management Consultancy Services (PMC) industry.
• Demonstrated experience managing the delivery of two or three 5-star hotels/resorts for famous operators.
• Significant experience managing the construction of hospitality complex projects throughout their entire lifecycle.
• Proven track record of assuming a similar role in a reputable consultancy firm.
• Deep understanding of the PMC lifecycle and services.
• Project management certificates and demonstrated applications are considered a strong asset.
• Excellent communication skills and a strategic mindset are essential.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Khatib & Alami's operations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working within a dynamic project management consultancy environment, contributing to high-profile hospitality projects.
