Project Manager Highways and Bridges

About the Role

Michael Page is seeking a Project Manager - Highways and Bridges to lead the delivery of major transportation and civil infrastructure projects in Riyadh. This full-time role involves overseeing end-to-end project delivery, providing technical leadership, and managing stakeholders for projects including roads, highways, bridges, and tunnels.

The client is a globally recognised multidisciplinary consultancy. They provide integrated engineering, architecture, and project delivery services across complex infrastructure, transportation, energy, and building developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Director in project execution.
• Advise on design sufficiency and identify outstanding or conflicting design issues.
• Liaise with discipline managers and site team leaders to ensure effective communication.
• Develop and implement procedures for planning, managing, supervising construction works, and controlling project costs.
• Review and approve technical documents submitted to the client by contractors.
• Monitor overall progress and resource utilisation, initiating corrective actions as necessary.
• Ensure project deliverables meet agreed standards and satisfy stakeholder requirements at each stage.
• Monitor overall project stakeholder relationships and adjust engagement strategies.
• Apply change control and configuration management processes.
• Report on project progress through highlight reports and end-stage assessments.
• Maintain awareness of potential interdependencies with other projects and their impact.
• Contribute to the resolution of technical issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Proactively establish, assess, and evaluate project management processes, sharing knowledge and identifying improvement opportunities.
• Apply analytical, project management, and technical writing skills at a task level.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in project management.
• Experience of 20+ years is required for this senior role, specifically in leading major transportation and civil infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership and manage project and site teams.
