About the Role

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Market Director Roads & Highways to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a senior leadership position responsible for market strategy, business growth, client engagement, and portfolio performance within the Roads & Highways sector across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). The role focuses on expanding the firm's presence in transportation infrastructure, specifically roads, expressways, interchanges, and highways.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the KSA roads and highways market strategy in alignment with corporate goals.
• Identify emerging market opportunities across the KSA, including federal and emirate-level transportation initiatives and major infrastructure developments.
• Drive annual business growth targets, market positioning, and competitive differentiation.
• Lead client relationship management for KSA transport authorities, municipalities, government entities, PPP authorities, and major private-sector developers.
• Act as the primary executive sponsor for key accounts and represent the company at industry forums and government meetings.
• Lead major pursuits and proposal strategies, overseeing bid-no-bid decisions, capture planning, and pricing strategies.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, project management, and construction supervision teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Own the market P&L, sales forecasts, and project margin performance, evaluating commercial risks and contractual terms.
• Provide leadership to multidisciplinary teams and mentor emerging market leaders.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a market-facing leader with strong KSA connections and proven business development acumen. This role requires an understanding of government procurement frameworks and deep technical knowledge of road and highway design, engineering, project management, and construction supervision services.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Over 10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong existing client relationships with KSA transport authorities, municipalities, government entities, developers, and contractors are strongly preferred.
• Willingness to travel across the KSA as needed.
