About the Internship

Tabby is offering a six-month paid internship for a QA Engineer in KSA, starting in Autumn 2026. This role is within the Process Engineering team, which is part of Risk and Credit. The internship is designed to provide real responsibility in a production environment, focusing on ensuring the reliability of automated business workflows that Tabby operates on. It is suitable for recent graduates with 0-1 years of experience.

Role Overview

The QA Engineer intern will contribute to validating, monitoring, debugging, and reporting on automated workflows. This involves testing changes before deployment, identifying failures early, and investigating issues when they occur. The role requires attention to detail, a curious approach to problem-solving, and technical comfort with scripts and API endpoints.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform smoke and regression testing for workflow and system releases.
• Verify bug fixes and configuration changes across affected processes.
• Maintain release sign-off checklists and flag items not ready for deployment.
• Track testing status, including passed and open items, for release decisions.
• Reproduce reported issues, isolate triggers, and identify their origin within workflows.
• Inspect API requests and responses to diagnose call failures.
• Review application logs, execution traces, and error messages for evidence.
• Write reproducible bug reports detailing steps, expected/actual behavior, environment, severity, and evidence.
• Triage incoming reports, filter duplicates, and route problems to appropriate owners.
• Monitor the health of automations and integrations to detect failures proactively.
• Investigate failed or stuck runs to determine causes such as configuration, integration, or system defects.
• Execute safe re-runs and recovery steps for known failure patterns under guidance.
• Track recurring failures to identify patterns for permanent solutions.
• Execute, review, and update existing test cases as workflows evolve.
• Maintain current test data, environment notes, and process documentation.
• Identify coverage gaps and propose new test cases.
• Contribute to a shared knowledge base of issues, workarounds, and debugging playbooks.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, system analysts, product managers, and engineers to confirm behavior and validate fixes.
• Communicate testing status and blockers clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support end-users during workflow rollouts by verifying real-world scenarios.

Work Environment and Benefits

This is a full-time, paid internship with Tabby, a company that builds financial products for millions of users across the GCC. The intern will be fully integrated into the Process Engineering team, which is part of the Risk and Credit department. Tabby operates as a distributed team across multiple countries. While not guaranteed, the internship aims to provide a path to a junior role on the team based on performance.
