The Role: Assistant Vice President Corporate Relationship Management

QNB Group is seeking an Assistant Vice President for Corporate Relationship Management in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on managing a portfolio of existing and potential corporate customers to achieve assigned financial targets. The incumbent will be responsible for developing and profitably managing banking relationships for business customers within their assigned territory or portfolio, serving as the primary resource for the full range of bank products and services, including credit, deposit services, international transactions, and other specialized offerings. This position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement strategies to achieve volume, revenue, and profit targets for Corporate Banking within the assigned country location.
  • Develop and manage relationships with potential corporate customers and an assigned portfolio of existing customers, meeting financial and non-financial targets in compliance with QNB credit policies.
  • Support business development and origination, including preparing credit recommendations for local and regional corporations.
  • Prepare comprehensive credit proposals for new and prospect customers, addressing relevant risk factors and meeting minimum acceptable standards.
  • Conduct comprehensive credit reviews for existing portfolios at least one month before expiry, considering current risk factors and market developments.
  • Obtain all requisite facility and account documentation to ensure customer files are current and legal documentation secures the bank's interests.
  • Identify and report negative events and early signals of potential problematic accounts or relationships in a timely manner.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal functions and units to achieve goals and ensure timely and accurate delivery of products and services.

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory, and internal compliance requirements, including Group Compliance Policies and Procedures (AML & CTF, Anti-Bribery and Corruption, Sanctions Policy, Data Protection Policy, Fraud Control Policy, Whistle Blowing Policy, Conflict of Interest and Insider Dealing Policy).
  • Understand and effectively perform the role under the Three Lines of Defence principle to identify, measure, monitor, manage, and report risks.
  • Ensure systematic good outcomes for clients in accordance with Conduct Risk policy.
  • Support the framework of RCSA, KRI, incident reporting, and remediation as appropriate, in accordance with Operational Risk Management requirements.

  • Sound knowledge of QNB’s credit policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Ability to identify opportunities and resolve problems in customer relationships, coordinating with relevant departments.
  • Strong communication skills to assist customers with queries and seek solutions.
  • Commitment to continuous self-development and staying current with professional field developments.
  • High standards of data protection and confidentiality for commercially sensitive information.

Professional Standards

The Assistant Vice President will maintain utmost confidentiality regarding customer and internal bank information, providing such information only on a need-to-know basis to Senior Management, Audit, Compliance functions, and relevant Regulators. The role requires maintaining high professional standards to uphold QNB’s reputation and strengthen its market leadership position.
