About the Role

People, Jobs, and News is seeking a Quality Manager to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position is responsible for overseeing end-to-end quality assurance, quality control, and food safety within the plant. The role ensures that all products consistently meet company standards, Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) regulations, and international certifications including HACCP, GMP, GHP, ISO 22000, and BRCGS. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of relevant experience and will receive a salary of SAR 15,000 - 18,000 per month.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS), ensuring full regulatory and certification compliance.
• Oversee operational quality control, including checks for raw materials, in-process production, and finished products.
• Manage laboratory testing, microbiological analysis, shelf-life studies, and sensory evaluations.
• Handle non-conformance issues and corrective actions (CAPAs), investigate contamination or recall issues, and control nonconforming products until resolution.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, maintain audit readiness, and liaise directly with SFDA and certification bodies.
• Ensure all food safety records (CCP, OPRP) and procedures are accurate, current, and accessible.
• Oversee sanitation, ensuring cleaning and sanitation schedules and standards are consistently upheld across the facility.

Quality and Compliance Oversight

The Quality Manager is critical in establishing and maintaining robust quality and food safety frameworks. This includes ensuring adherence to Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) regulations and international standards such as HACCP, GMP, GHP, ISO 22000, and BRCGS. The role involves continuous monitoring and improvement of processes to guarantee product integrity and consumer safety.

Team Leadership and Training

A key aspect of this role involves leading the Food Safety Team, conducting regular review meetings, and providing essential training to production staff. The Quality Manager fosters a culture of quality and compliance throughout the plant, ensuring all personnel are equipped with the knowledge and skills to uphold food safety standards.

Performance Measurement

Performance in this role will be measured against key indicators, including:

• Reduction in customer complaints.
• Audit scores and overall food safety compliance.
• Reduction in product rejection and waste.
• CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) closure rate.
• Internal audit performance.
• Product consistency.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for the Quality Manager position should possess 5-10 years of progressive experience in quality assurance and food safety within a manufacturing or plant environment. Demonstrated expertise in implementing and managing QMS and FSMS, along with a thorough understanding of SFDA regulations and international standards (HACCP, GMP, GHP, ISO 22000, BRCGS), is essential.
