About the Role

Parsons is seeking a RAMS Lead to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires direct experience in the development and assurance of complex rail infrastructure and rolling stock systems. The successful candidate will focus on the system lifecycle, contributing to various assessments and design phases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Reliability Availability Maintainability Safety (RAMS) assessments.
  • Develop and manage requirements.
  • Generate, evaluate, and select concepts.
  • Perform system design and design assessments.
  • Plan and assess system verification.
  • Model and assess Through Life Costs.
  • Conduct technical and project risk assessments.
  • Utilize Requirements Management and System Modelling/Architecting tools, with a preference for DOORS and System Architect.

Core Duties

  • Manage and challenge contractor RAMS delivery.
  • Share workload effectively within the RMTC team.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive reports on RAMS delivery and associated issues.
  • Calculate equipment failure rates using various data sources to develop Reliability Block Diagrams.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to establish failure rate targets for sub-systems.
  • Develop availability models for projects and proposed designs based on Reliability Block Diagrams.
  • Provide targets for vendor-supplied equipment to Engineering and integrate them into RAMS requirements for vendors.
  • Perform Maintainability Analyses and other required maintainability tasks.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for safety activities and issues, leading discussions with the project team, Engineering, and the customer.
  • Provide functional guidance on the preparation of inspection and test plans, ensuring proper staff approval and implementation.
  • Interpret safety requirements from customer contracts and communicate changes to affected areas.
  • Ensure all necessary safety analyses are conducted according to requirements and schedules, performing detailed safety and hazard analyses using techniques such as FMEA and FTA.
  • Manage and track all hazards and safety requirements in a database (*, MS-Access).
  • Support project safety efforts by coordinating activities among various engineering disciplines and contractors for System Safety.
  • Provide technical expertise to Program Management, Manufacturing, Field Start-up, Operations and Maintenance Manual production, and Design Engineering.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Direct experience with the development and assurance of complex rail infrastructure and rolling stock systems.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within a team focused on complex rail systems.
